FULBRIGHT AWARDS

FOUNDATION SECRETARY VISITING N.Z. (New Zealand Pres, Association) WELLINGTON, November 29. The executive secretary of the Fulbright Foundation in Australia (Mr Geoffrey G. Rossiter) arrived by fly-ing-boat from Sydney to-day for talks with Dr. Earl A. Dennis, chairman of the board of directors of the foundation in New Zealand. They will discusa the administration, programmes, and general effectiveness of the scheme. Mr Rossiter said he hoped to find out how New Zealand helped visiting scholars. Thia would be a guide to him in arranging the programmes of American Fulbright scholars, the first group of whom was expected to arrive in the Commonwealth tn March.
