CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED BLOWN AGAINST TELEGRAPH POLE (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 9. A young man died in the Auckland Public Hospital this morning from head injuries he suffered when his bicycle was blown against a telegraph pole by a sudden gust at Mechanics Bay on Saturday afternoon. He wasChong Chau, aged 20, a student, of Auckland.

CYCLIST INJURED

Miss Heather Batchelor, aged 21. of the R.N.Z.A.F. Station, Wigram. suffered injuries and concussion when she was knocked off her bicycle at Chubch corner. Riccarton, by a ’ car, last evening. She was admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospital at 6.30 p.m. Her condition last evening was reported to be satisfactory. Miss Batchelor’s home address is 121 Wilsons road, Christchurch.
