<Bec. 7 pun.) SYDNEY. Nov. 5. gale conditions on the ■ydney Cricket Ground, the second

day of a Sheffield Shield match between New South Wales and Queensland was colourless except for the bowling of Lindwall and the bright batting of Morris, who hit Len Johnson into the members' stand for a six. With the gale behind him, Lindwall took three vzickets for two runs.

Scores:— Queensland.—First innings: 216 (Lindwall four for 33, Walker three for 55, Davidson two for 44) New South Wales.—First innings: 39 for one wicket (Morris not out 26).
