RAM FOR CANTERBURY

A Suffolk ram for Messrs Birdling and Hart, of Geraldine, was included in a consignment of stud stock from Great Britain which arrived in Wellington recently in the Karamea. The ram, a sheep of great scale and substance. was bred by Mr W. Rintoul. of Fife, Scotland. Two Southdown rams were for Mr H. B. Roulston, Hillend, Balclutha, and a Dorset Down ram for Mr J. D. Henderson, Winton. The firm which arranged these shipments expects another 40 head of the Dorset Down breed during the next two months. Mr David Graham, of Waikaka. Gore, will be getting two rams and ten ewes. Mr J. S. Hunt, Fork Farm. Wanaka. a ram and 10 ewes, and Mr John Q. Donald, Featherston, a ram and 15 ewes.
