Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation: An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand. Forecast: light to moderate north-easterly winds; weather fair to fine, with moderate or mild day temperatures. WEST COAST The forecast for the West Coast of the Bout)-' Island is as follows: Light, variable winds; weather fair to cloudy; temperatures moderate. Further outlook: cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine, with a moderate wind from the north-east The maximum temperature was 57.1 degrees. At midnight the sky was almost clear, and there was a light wind from the north-east. The temperature was 45.7 degrees. The barometer, at 30.23 in (1023.7 millibars), was falling very slowly.
