SYDNEY PORT STRIKE

(Rec. 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, Sept. 17, Mr J. Healy, secretary of the Waterside Workers’ Federation, said to-day that the Sydney waterside strike would continue until tomorrow at least, but would not be spread to other ports. The federal council of the Waterside Workers’ Federation, which has been entrusted with the handling of the dispute, will attend a meeting of watersiders to-morrow to hear the views of Sydney unionists. The port of Sydney is becoming heavily congested. More than 70 ships have been immobilised.
