The track was in good order, and there was a large attendance. The totalisator handled £59,432, including £8247 on the doubles ; machine, compared with £47,113 10s last 1 yeaer, an increase of £12,318 10s. Mercian Lad and Ngarobi dead-heatesi for first in the Marton Handicap, the first leg of the double.
