WATERFRONT INDUSTRY AUTHORITY

UNION SAID TO HAVE WITHDRAWN MEMBERS AUCKLAND, September 15. The New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union is reported to have withdrawn its two representatives from the membership of the Waterside Industry Authority. The report has not been confirmed and the union has not made any announcement. Action of this nature, it is believed, would mean a rupture in the relations between the union and the authority which was reconstituted at the beginning of June with Messrs A. C. Dellaway (Wellington) and J. Flood tieton) representing the union, Messrs T. S. Marchington and G. G. McFarlane the port employers, and Judge Dalglish as chairman.
