N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNEY PRELIMINARY ROUNDS PLAYED The preliminary rounds in the junior and senior championship singles and doubles were played yesterday in the New Zealand table tennis tournament at the Wentworth. The play in the junior section reached an exceptionally high standard. The holder of the girls’ singles title, Miss J. M. Williamson (C.), is so far unbeaten in the tournament, and as she is playing particularly well, it- is expected that she will retain her title.
