APPLICATIONS HEARD BY AUTHORITY
One application for a new lioeacg and seven applications r lor'..transfprtj of licences were granted by the No. 3 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr W. G. Baird) at a hearing in Christchurch yesterday. The application of Albert William Henry Falla, trading as Falla’s Rental Motors. Lyttelton, for a new rental truck licence for the operation of one truck from Lyttelton was granted. The following applications for transfers of licences were granted: E. Robson and Son, Ltd., continuous goods service licence, continuous taxi service licence, and continuous passenger service licence, all from Edward Robson; Mac Wilson and Son, Ltd.. Riccarton. goods service licence, from Wilfred Arthur Wilson; Leslie Francis Desmond Columbus. Riccarton. continuous goods service licence, from James Edward Payton; John William Pender. Riccarton. continuous goods Service licence, from William Douglas Dalzell: John Osbaldeston Kitching. Dunsandgl. continuous taxi service licence, from Lionel Charles Wood.
An application for a transfer of a continuous goods service licence from Geoffrey Thomas Parker to Bernard Joseph Kiesanowski, Marshland, was refused.
Decision was reserved on a review of a rental licence in the name of Edward David Illingworth, trading as Caravan Rentals. Christchurch, to determine whether or not the licence was being operated.
