THE BUDGET
Sir, —The Tory budget has burst upon the public with all tne dynamic force of a wet fire-cracker. Surely now the workers who were lured from their allegiance to Labour will realise that Tory promises mean nothing and that, by voting for the Tories they handed the country, and themselves, over to Big Money for exploitation. Where, now. are the golden promises about making the pound go further? ,It has gone right out of sight—and that is what the Tories will do next election, provided the workers have come to their senses by that time.—Yours, etc. A CITIZEN. August 25. 1950.
