N.Z. UNIVERSITY SCHOLARSHIPS

AWARDS ANNOUNCED (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 22. The University of New Zealand has announced the following decisions on scholarships and prizes:— The senior scholarship in engineering will be shared between D. L. Schulz (Canterbury) and M. A. J. Matich (Auckland). J. G. Man (Otago) has been nominated for the American Field Service Scholarship. The Tinline Scholarship has been awarded to G. K. W. Johnston (Wellington). A travelling scholarship in commerce has been awarded A. R. Bergstrom, who will take it up at the beginning of the 1952-53 academic year in England. The following cases were approved for scholarship extensions: — University Junior Scholarship: J. P. Marshall and V. Heine. University National Scholarship: Dorothy M. Clarke, D. J. Wooding, and H. C. Templeton. Taranaki Scholarship: D. R. Cristoffel, T. O. Fitzgibbon. Patricia Conyngham, and G. M. Crowley.
