PRICE OF EGGS
Gray's comment regardS®. |the P r L ce °f eggs, it seems to me flo °rs can juggle with the Price of eggs providing they keep under the maximum. This to me is ■grossly unfair. Surely this is a case for the Minister of Marketing. In conference between the Poultry Board and the Minister, I am led to believe, an agreement was reached on two nxed prices—winter and summer. Can anyone in authority give the public the true price for ungraded eggs plus Government subsidy to the producer? And what price is a grocer allowed to charge the public on his turnover?— Yours, etc., JUSTICE FOR ALL August 8, 1950. * IThe Minister of Marketing (Mr K. J. Holyoake) had no comment to make on this letter.]
