TRIP TO CHRISTCHURCH BY ORPHANS

A party of 27 orphan boys between the ages of 11 and 14 arrived in Christchurch from Wellington ’on Saturday morning. They are accompanied by three assistants from the Anglican Boys’ Home and St. .Thomas’s Home. Funds for the trip came from £lOOO raised by the Lower Hutt and Canterbury Junior Chambers of Commerce during the year for public welfare purposes. The Canterbury chamber had arranged to billet the visitors.
