Minor Fires.— The Christchurch Fire Brigade answered two calls to minor fires yesterday morning. The brigade attended a fire in an attached washhouse on a propertv at 52 Manchester street at 7 a.m. Slight damage was done to a wooden partition in the fire. The brigade also extinguished a chimney fire in a house at 595 Colombo street, occupied bv Mr William Weir. The call to the fire was received at 8.42 a.m. No damage was done.
