MATCH WITH TARANAKI TO-DAY

(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 7. No changes are expected in either of the teams previously announced for the British Isles team’s match against Taranaki at New Plymouth to-morrow. P. Burke, a good Taranaki line-out forward. received a gash over an eye in the team’s first practice on Wednesday, but after receiving three stitches he took part in the subsequent practices. If the weather holds, a record crowd of about 20,000 is expected to see the match. Misty rain fell to-day, but this did not affect the British Isles team’s determination to play open football if allowed to do so. “We shall never stop doing that,” said the manager (Surgeon-Captain L. B. Osborne) to-day. “We shall always play open football, regardless of the result. SCHOOL GAMES TEAMS FOR TO-DAY’S MATCHES Two inter-secondary school Rugby matches will be played to-day.
