Cabinet has authorised the acquisition of a site in the Hornby-Sockburn area for the proposed new primary sthool. This will meet the growing needs of the district. This advice was received by Mr J. K. McAlpine, M.P. for Selwyn. from the Minister of Education (Mr R. M. Algie) yesterday.— (F.0.0.R.)
