DOLLY FRASER’S PROSPECTS
LIKELY FAVOURITE AT ASHBURTON
Dolly Fraser’s consistent record of three wins and four minor placings in her eight starts this season attracts attention to her prospects in the Rakaia Handicap at the Ashburton Trotting Club’s meeting today. Dolly Fraser’s placings include wins over Monty Jason in the Seadown Handicap, of two miles, at Washdyke on March 11, over Lochinvar in the Domain Handicap at Forbury Park on April 21, and over Velvet Brown in the Wellington Handicap at Hutt Park on May 6. A five-year-old daughter of Logan Fraser, and Formality, Dolly Fraser, which is trained at Addington by G. S. Smith, who races her in partnership with Mr G. H. Lucas, has shown good form on heavy tracks. She should be seen at her best to-day.
The Rakaia Handicap field includes other likely improvers, including Hemisphere, Tactician, Curiosity, and Landlight,
A winner at the Oamarn Trotting Club’s winter meeting, and a place-getter at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting at Addington last week. Hemisphere may dispute favouritism with Dolly Fraser. Brackets at Ashburton
