CADET PILOTS GRADUATE
CEREMONY AT WIGRAM STATION Nine cadet pilots who had completed the No. 3 course at the Royal New Zealand Air Force Station, Wigram, were invested with their wings by Wing Commander A. B. Greenaway at a graduation ceremony at the station yesterday morning. Flight Lieutenant R. J. Croke, who was one of the cadets in the course, and is flying personnel medical officer to the R.N.Z.A.F., stationed at Wigram, is possibly the first Air Force doctor to qualify as a pilot in the R.N.Z.A.F. Pilot A. Mangush (Martinborough), one of the successful cadets, also won the bombing trophy. The successful 'cadets in the course, which started on January 10, 1949, were as follows:—Pilots R. J. Croke (Taranaki). D. Cunning (Hamilton), J. M. Fairweather (Gisborne), A. Mangush (Martinborough), I. A. McPherson (Matamata), T. G. Miller (Auckland), L. W. Newman (Hamilton). D. A. Winter (Wellington), and K. L. McWhannell (Christchurch).
