FRENCH TENNIS TITLES

PARIS, June 1. Budge Patty will be one of the finalists in the French tennis singles championship. In a gruelling semifinal of three hours and a half, he beat his fellow American, Bill Talbert. to-day. Patty came from behind to even the match at two sets each, and won the decisive set, 12-10.

Drobny was leading Sturgess by two sets to one in the other semifinal when failing light caused play to be postponed until to-morrow. Patricia Todd and Doris Hart won their way to the final of the women’s singles, beating two other players from the United States in all-Ameri-can semi-finals. r Results:—

Men’s Singles. semi-finals—Patty beat Talbert. 2-6. 6-4. 4-6, 6-4. 12-10; Drobny v Sturgess, 6-4, 7-5, 3-6. Women’s Singles, semi-finals—Miss Doris Hart beat Miss Louise Brough, 6-2, 6-3; Miss P. Todd beat Miss Barbara Scofield, 6-2, 6-3.
