KIDNAPPED GREEK CHILDREN
U.S. AGAIN PRESSES FOR RETURN (Rec. 8 p.m.. WASHINGTON. May 31. The United States has again asked the United Nations to press for the return to Greece of about 19,000 children kidnapped by Communist guerrillas during the Greek civil war and taken to East European countries. The United States State Department announced to-day that the department had delivered a Note to Mr Trygve Lie, the United Nations SecretaryGeneral. expressing concern and disappointment at the failure of the countries concerned to respond to the United Nations resolutions urging the return of the children. The department asked that the Note be sent to all members of the United Nations and to Bulgaria, Hungary, and Rumania. who are not members.
