British League Team.— The British Rugby League team beat Riverina 2313 at Cootamundra to-day. England led 10-9 at half-time. Experts attribute the closeness of the game to England’s determination to play open football and to Riverina’s smothering tactics. England again had trouble over the interpretation of the rules.— Sydney, May 31.
