AUCKLAND TEAM TO PLAY WAIKATO
P. J. CROWLEY OMITTED
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 31. The Ail Black forward. P. J. Crowley, has been omitted from the Auckland Rugby team to play Waikato at Hamilton on Monday. In announcing the team to a meeting of the Auckland union tonight, the selector, Mr N. C. Pearman, wrote that Crowley had been omitted because of the difficulty he had in attending training because of the All Black trials, the test match, and injuries.
Crowley, who lives at Papakura, played for the All Blacks in the test againsf the British Isles team at Carisbrook last Saturday. He has again been chosen for the second test in Christchurch on June 10.
