MARSHLAND PLUNKET SOCIETY
The Marshland sub-branch of the Plunket Society celebrated its coming of age at the annual meeting this weak. The sub-branch was formed by the late Mrs J. Cracroft Wilson and Mrs Cecil Wood. The late Mrs Waugh was the first president and the first secretary was Mrs Sturgiss. Mrs P. G. Greenwood, president of the Christchurch branch, Mrs H. R. Smith, a foundation member of the Christchurch branch, and members of the Belfast, Richmond, and Avondale branches were present at the meeting. A credit of £24 Is 9d was shown in the balance-sheet. Officers were elected as follows: president, Mrs L. Hall; vice-presidents, Mesdames Kingston. Ching, Gibbs. E. Treleaven and S. Lawson; secretarytreasurer. Mrs Marks; committee, Mesdames K. Harris. R. Treleaven, Henden, Clark, Stackwood, Kingston, and E. and N. Treleaven. •
