FURTHER SUBSCRIPTIONS OF £105,600 (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 31. Since yesterday there has been an increasing flow of applications for tno 1950 national development loan. The Reserve Bank has received advice of fin the’’ subscriptions totalling £405.600. _ Insurance companies are, as usual, the largest investors, pnd after the notification that the New Zealand Insurance Company and the Sou tn British Insurance Company each intend investing £250.000, advice has now been received that the Australian Mutual Provident Society will invest £250.000, and the Citizens’ Assurance Company has invested £lOO.OOO. A number of firms with their head offices in Wellington intend to make substantial contributions. including Wright, Stephenson. Limited, who have already lodged applications for £lOO.OOO.
