SOUTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS The .South Island golf championships will definitely start at the Kaiata golf links at Greymouth on Saturday, said the secretary of the Buller-Westland Golf Association (Mr L. C. Lindley) last evening. “The course has suffered no serious damage from the recent flooding,” he said. RANGIORA LADIES’ CLUB In a friendly inter-club match played on the Rangiora links on Tuesday under ideal weather conditions Rangiora beat Russley by 10J matches to 9L Results, with Russley names first, were as follows: Singles.—Mrs H. ASHBURTON LADIES’ CLUB The Ashburton Ladies’ Golf Club drew with the Hagley Ladies’ Club when a fourball round was played at Ashburton yesterday morning. An afternoon round was won by Ashburton by 6 games to 5. The following were the results of the morning round, Hagley names first:— Mrs Pfankuch and Miss McDonald lost to Mesdames H. A. Vezey and J.
