DEATH OF CHINESE

MAN ARRESTED AT AUCKLAND (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 30. A labourer, Frank Patrick O’Rorke, aged 35, was arrested to-night and charged with the murder of Lee Hoy Chong, aged 47, a retired Chinese market gardener, at his home at 11 Baker street, Auckland, on the night of May 22. O’Rorke will appear in the Magistrate’s Court to-morrow morning. The arrest came after a week of intensive investigations by a squad of detectives. The body of Chong was found in the kitchen of his home last Tuesday morning by two Maori girls. The head was battered, apparently by a tomahawk, which was found nearby.
