Wellington, and dealing with the 20 hours following the time of issue, is as follows: Situation: there is a depression west of the North island, and a low pressure trough is approaching across the South Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m.: moderate north to north-east winds, coastal fog and drizzle in the morning. otherwise cloudy. Temperatures moderate to mild. Further outlook, similar conditions. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER Tlie weather in Christchurch vesterdav was fine and sunny with a light northeast wind. The maximum temperature was 58.8 degrees. At midnight the sky was clear and there was a lipht east wind. The temperature was 48 degrees, and the barometer at 30.959 inches (1014.5 millibars), was falling.
