INDOOR BASKETBALL

POLO BEATS WIGRAM Polo beat Wigram by 18 goals to 17 in the main indoor basketball match at the Wentworth last evening. B. Grant was the principal scorer for Polo. He was well fed by R. Henry and B. McNeilage and scored 10 goals. For Wigram, K. Millner made determined breaks from the corner and netted nine points. In the match between University and Southern Military District, won by the former team, both sides lacked finish. With K. Ingham and B. Adams well marked, the Southern Military District team lacked punch. Shooting six points each, D. Adcock and B. Bamford were the principal scorers for University. Y-Boys were more fortunate with speculations when they beat Boys' Gordon Hall, 24-17, although the latter team hammered the net consistently. Y-Boys led 12-10 at half-time, and it seemed that they would be beaten for the first time his season. Womerf’s games resulted:—Marist 17, C.M.T. 10; Otautahi 11, Overlanders 4; C.L.A. 21, Wigram 19.
