A cheerless day’s cricket in the match between the West Indies and Glamorganshire, which disappointed a holiday crowd of 12.000 at Cardiff. J 3 an end wh en rain began to fall. Glamorganshire won the toss and batted in chilly weather. The batting was mainly defensive and brilliant ground fielding also restricted the scoring. Pleass and Hever made a stubborn ninth wicket stand which delayed the end of Glamorganshire’s disappointing display. Johnson deserved his five wickets. He bowled accurately throughout the innings.
