WIND AT WELLINGTON REACHES 74 M.P.H.

(Hew Zealand Press Association, WELLINGTON. May 26. Wellington, apparently in conformity with the remainder of the Dominion, experienced high northerly winds to-day. One gust soon after 9 a.nt. reached a velocity of 74 miles an hour. Because of the boisterous conditions, the survey shin H.M.S. Lachlan was forced to take shelter in Wellington harbour instead of contiquing her survey work on the exposed Paekakariki coast.
