EMPIRE CONFERENCE IN N.Z.

PREPARATIONS BEING MADE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 25. “I am very conscious of the difficulties that may face the United Kingdom Government in sending an adequate delegation to the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association conference, planned to be held in New Zealand in November/’ said the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) to-day. “However, it is impossible for us to hold up preparations because of that uncertainty. We are proceeding with the preparations as though the contingency would not arise.” Mr Holland was commenting on a reported possibility that the conference might be postponed because of the British Labour Government’s slender majority.
