In one of the most sensational professional heavy-weight wrestling contests ever seen m Wellington, “Flash” Gordon beat Al Costello on points at the Town Hall to-night after each had scored one fall. Costello gained a fall in the fourth round after he had rammed Gordon’s head against two corner-posts, dealt out a series of jolts, and dumped the American. Gordon evened the falls with a backloop slam in the sixth round, which trapped Costello as he was launching a fusilade of flying tackles.
