LABOUR PARTY ELECTION

MEMBERS OF EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. May 24. Four sitting members of the national executive committee of the New Zealand Labour Party who contested this year's election at the recent annual conference in Auckland have been reelected. They are Messrs H. E. Combs. M.P.. R. Eddy. M.L.C.. L. C. Hair, and M. Moohan. M.P. Mr W. Nash. M.P.. replaces Mr J. O. Johnson, who did not seek re-election. The results of the ballot were announced to-day bv the national secretary of the party (Mr A. J. McDonald). Mr Nash has a long association with the national executive committee, having acted as national secretary of the party from 1922 until 1931. when he was succeeded bv Mr James Thorn, until recently New Zealand High Commissioner in Canada. One of the oldest? members of the executive committee. Mr Johnson has retired because of ill-health.
