AUCKLAND OBSTETRIC HOSPITAL
POST OFFERED TO DR. W. H. HAWKSWORTH (New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. May 24. Dr. W. H. Hawksworth, 0.8. E.. M.B. F.R.C.S.. M.R.C.0.G., has been asked to direct the obstetrical and gynaecological hospital a L Auckland. He is a young New Zealander who is regarded in Britain as one of the outstanding young specialists in these fields. The invitation was revealed at Stratford by Dr. Doris Gordon, a member cf the committee set up after the pubhe raised a £lOO.OOO endowment fund for the hospital. "People who subscribed to the endowment will be encouraged to Know teat the specialist who has been asked to direct this new venture in medical teaching in New Zealand did part of ri.' training under Professor Marshall Allen in Australia,” said Dr. Gordon. "Dr. Hawksworth is charge officer ci one of the most outstanding subfertility clinics in England. This brilliant New Zealand scholar is a Waiting advice from the University of New Zealand that his appointment has been approved.”
