N.Z. MEAT TRADE

TALKS IN LONDON (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, May 22. The annual review of the meat trade between the United Kingdom and New Zealand is expected to begin on Wednesday. and it will be followed later by a review of dairy produce. Representing New Zealand at the meat talks will be Mr B. C. Ashwin, Mr G. H. Grigg, and Mr S. A. Chisholm, London manager of the New Zealand Meat Board. Mr Ashwin will also take part in the dairy produce talks when the other New Zealand representatives will be Mr W. Marshall. Mr W. G. Macartney. Mr G. M. Pottinger, and Mr H. E. Davis, London manager of the New Zealand Dairy Commission. It is expected that both series of talks will last four or five weeks. Commonwealth Medical Talks.—The British Commonwealth medical conference which is now sitting in Brisbane recommended to-day that the next conference should be held in South Africa in July, 1951. It is planned that the next conference will be organised by the medical associations of South Africa and Britain.— Brisbane. May 23.
