WOOL BOARD ELECTION

Three of the six growers’ representatives on the New Zealand Wool Board are due to retire in August this year and they all offer themselves for i e-election. There will be an election among growers to fill the vacancies. The retiring members are Mr W. Horrobin. of Waikanae, the de-puty-chairman of the board; Mr H J Wardell, of Kurow, and Mr C. H Bethell, of Waikari. Nominations of candidates for election to the board will close on June 23. Each candidate must be nominated by a woolgrower, seconded by another woolgrower, and must accept nomination in writing. A, woolgrower is defined as a sheepfarmer who owns at least 100 sheep. Members are elected to the board for a term of two years.
