Food For Britain.—A Christchurch butcher sent three tins of fat to Aberdeen, Scotland, recently, and received 75 letters of thanks from the old people who received part of the gift according to a statement by the Christchurch district Aid for Britain Committee. In addition to the letters of thanks received by the donors, the Food for Britain Committee last year received more than 7000 letters of thanks, and so far this year more than 2000 have arrived from persons in the United Kingdom, said the stateIment.
