WINTER COMPETITION CANTERBURY COLLEGE BEATEN BY WOOLSTON The winter tennis competitions were continued in perfect conditions at Wilding Park on Saturday. Apparently the strongest team this season, Canterbury College was beaten by Woolston Results;— FIRST GRADE Elmwood A v. Woolston Singles.—C. G. Finney beat A. E. Parrish by default; W. Dickson beat M. Agar 4-6 6-3, 6-2; F. Suckling beat C. Deering, 6-2' 6 _ 4* 6% T ' Cartwright 1,631 G - Robinson,’ Doubles.—Finney and Cartwright beat Agar and Deering, 6-1, 6-0. Elmwood A won by five matches to 0. South Brighton v. South Christchurch Singles.—A. R. Cant beat N. Sumner. 6- 6-4; A. D. Atkinson beat A. Simpson, 7- 6-3; G. E. R. Atkinson beat R. N. Roberts, 6-3, 6-4; D. S. Minson lost to R. W. Roberts. 1-6, 0-6. Doubles.—Cant and A. D. Atkinson beat Sumner and Simpson, 6-0, 6-3; G. E. R.
