COUNTRY RUGBY RESERVATIONS
Sir,—Those country Rugby enthusiasts who are not entitled to sub-unltm privileges will be . most concerned hr the fact that postal facilities for book, ing seats for the coming British matches at Lancaster Park will not be available to them. This convenience, much appreciated, has in the past been granted oy the New Zealand Cricket Council, touring theatrical companies and even other Rugby authorities’ However, the almighty powerful New Zealand Rugby Union appears to have only one consideration—huge profits These, already collected from recent overseas Rugby tours, should have im. plemented the union executive to be more considerate in its charges and more generous in its treatment of keen Rugby followers. This town v. country discrimination is far from pleasing.— Yours, etc.. CENTRE. May 18, 1950.
