B.B.C. NEWS TO BE BANNED
DECISION BY SOUTH AFRICA (Rec. 10 p.m.) CAPE TOWN, April 21. The South African Government has decided to ban 8.8. C. news relays over the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s radio station from July 1. The reason, according to the Minister of Posts and Telegraphs (Mr Franz Erasmus) is “politics.” He said: “South Africa wants to keep politics out of its radio news, but the 8.8. C. is not prepared to do so.”
