BREAD PRICES

MEMBERS OF COMMITTEE TO ADVISE CABINET From' Our Own Reporter

WELLINGTON, April 20. Mr T. J. Fleming,, an Auckland barrister and a former temporary judge of the Supreme Court, will be chairman of the committee which is to inquire into the prices of bread. Associated with him on the committee will be two public accountants, Messrs E. B. Wilkinson, of Auckland, and W. H. Nankervis, of Wellington.

Making this announcement to-night the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Mr C. M. Bowden) said that it was intended that the committee should re-examine the case submitted on behalf of the Master Bakers towards the end of last year and report to the Government on the broad question of whether the present prices of bread allowed the average efficient baker a reasonable profit.
