MILES MARATHON AIRLINER
“ NOT SUITABLE FOR N.Z. CONDITIONS ” ‘The Press’ 1 Special Service WELLINGTON, April 20. The National Airways Corporation has decided that the Handley Page Miles Marathon airliner, as it is at present develooed, is not entirely suitable for New Zealand conditions. The corporation announced this yesterday after studying reports of trials. "Details of the special requirements for New Zealand conditions have been forwarded to the Handley Page Company to ascertain if they can be incorporated, but it is expected that it will take some time before an answer can be given.” said the corporation’s announcement.
