ST. ALBANS RESIDENTS FORM ASSOCIATION
» A public meeting was held in the Winton Street Hall on Tuesday evening. when it was decided to form a local residents’ association. This association intends pressing for amenities, such as a bus service for the area (north-east St. Albans), the immediate erection of a primary school in Mahars road, extra kindergarten facilities, more adequate library services, and recreation gj-ounds. The officers elected were: president, Mr L. W. Melvin; secretary, Mr I. W. Begg; treasurer, Mrs D. Hall; committee, Mesdames N. McGillivray, R. W. Norrie, and L. E. Moore, and Messrs O. E. Matthews. H. T. Goldsmith, J. R. Campbell, E. Price, and L. C. Stanbury.
