AUSTRALIAN FLAG FOR N.Z.R.S.A.

PRESENTATION BY HIGH COMMISSIONER (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 19. An Australian flag was presented by the Australian High Commissioner (Mr A. R. Cutler), on behalf of Australian former servicemen visiting the Dominion for the Anzac Day ceremonies, to the Dominion president of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association (Major-General Sir Howard Kippenberger) at a function at Mr Cutler’s home to-day. Earlier, the visiting party, accompanied by representatives of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association and the Wellington Returned Services’ Association, marched from the railway station to the War Memorial, where a wreath was laid. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland), the Minister of Defence (Mr T L Macdonald), and the Leader of the Opposition (Air Fraser) were present at the function at which the flag was presented.
