NOTICE TO ALL USERS OF ZIP 1 KITCHEN MODELS 1 f? u are using the most Economical Elec- 1 trie Water Heater in the world to-day. < Why? (1) It is only switched on when actually 1 in use, and cannot be left on because i it has an audible whistle to warn you. < (2) It heats rapidly because of its patent- < constru ction and special features. (3) It is heavily lagged to retain the heat 1 and therefore heat losses, which mean waste of power, are kept down to an absolute minimum. ■ (4) You heat only the amount of water you need. METHODS BY WHICH YOU CAN SAVE POWER: In the interests of national economy of Electric Power, you should, because it will save you money also, use your Zip as little as possible. You should refrain from using* it during peak load hours, viz.: 4 p.m.-6 p.m. Switch it on earlier in the day and you will be able to draw . ■ hot water from it between those hours without using any power when it is needed most. , If you have one of the large hot-water ! services, do not use your hot kitchen tap 1 because it wastes powers by radiation 1 losses—use your ZIP. Save your hot- < water service for your bathroom-better still, use your • shower more. You can have two showers with the same amount of hot water as used in one bath. Ifyou have no shower, fit a "ZIP” shower attachment over your bath. If you have an all-electric home, use your “ZIP” for tea-making, washing dishes, hot-water bags, etc., in preference to an electric kettle or jug, because it is definitely more economical in the use of electric power. Never boil a kettle on an electric stove, because this is the most wasteful method of all.
