WOMEN’S DIVISION OF FEDERATED FARMERS
Kiccarton—A talk on her recent visit to southland was given by Mrs G. Fairweather at the monthly meeting of the Kiccarton branch of the Womens Division of Federated Farmers. Mrs R. A Ambridge presided. During the week nine members attended the one-day conferences in Ashburton. Competition results for the month were as follows:—large bloom: Mrs Kirkwood 1, Mrs Duff 2 Small bloom: Mrs Waghorn 1. Mrs Duff 2 Spike: Mrs Waghorn 1. Cluster: Mrs Waghorn 1.

Christchurch Centre—Officers elected at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Centre of Women's Institutes resulted:— president, Mrs Anderson; vice-presidents, Mesdames Robson and Green; secretary Mrs Baker; treasurer, Mrs Keen; committee, Mesdames Finlay, Champion, Merry. Mclntosh, Rae, Weavers, and Jenkins. Winners of most points competitions were:—candy rose bowl; Mrs Brooks J, Mrs Jenkins and Mrs Keen (equal) 2. Most entries for the year: Mrs Meade 1, Mrs Brooks 2, Mrs Keen 3. Competition winenrs for March were Mesdames Brooks,' Keen, Merry, and Jenkins.
