WIDOW GRANTED ANNUITY
PROVISION FROM ESTATE OF HUSBAND An order, giving a cash payment of £5OO and an annuity of £390 to Emlyn Key, a widow, from the estate of her husband, Edward Key. was made by Mr Justice Northcroft in the Supreme Court yesterday. The order was conditional on Mrs Key’s arranging for a person other than herself to be trustee of the estate. The remainder of the estate is left to the son. Mr E. M. Hay appeared for Mrs Key and Mr A. N. Mackay for Darrell Kev, a clerk.
Mr Hay said this was an application by a widow, aged 77, for further provision from the estate of her husband, who died on June 29, 1949. aaed 8". The estate was valued at £5489, and the widow was left a life interest. On her death a niece was to receive a legacy of £lOO. The remainder of the estate went to the son. Darrell Key.
