NEW COASTAL VESSEL FOR AUCKLAND

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 8. Purchased in Singapore for the Auckland coastal trade, the 304-ton motorvessel, Willomee, is now bound for her new home port, where she is due at the end of this month. Mr W. E. Aspden, managing director of her new owners, the Aspden Shipping Company, Ltd., was advised by cablegram to-day that the Willomee had reached Thursday Island. A wooden twin-screw vessel built at the Commonwealth Government Shipyard, Hobart, in . 1945, the Willomee was formerly owned by Australian Fishing Industries, Ltd., Singapore. She will complete her voyage to Auckland by way of Maryborough, Queensland, and Norfolk Island.
