The resignation of Mr R. C. Cartner from the teaching staff of Papanui Technical College was accepted with regret at a meeting of the Board of Governors of the college yesterday. Mr Cartner is retiring on superannuation from the end of the first term vacation. He commenced teaching under the old Christchurch Technical College Board of Governors in May. 1918. and was transferred in 1942 to the Papanui Technical College. The Commonwealth evangelist for the Open Air Campaigners (Australia), Mr J. Duffecy, and the national organiser for Youffi for Christ (Mr H. Bailey), c.re due to arrive in Christchurch bv air this morning. They are visiting the city as part of an envangelistic tour of New Zealand with the Auckland Youth for Christ team. Mr Duffecy accompanied Pastor Niemoller as song leader during his recent tour of Australia and New Zealand.
